In Honor of Jake Danner, all Animal Sanctuary prints/playmat sales will be donated to charities benefiting animals.
Jake Danner (a.k.a. Jakers)
Jake was one of the most loving, kind, generous, spirited souls this world has ever known. A friendly, rambunctious, and brilliant black lab mix, Jake loved everyone who met him, and everyone who met him loved Jake. He left this earth far too soon on December 29th, 2020. But his spirit will always be here with those who knew him. His owners, Matt and Alayna, are devastated by his loss. He brought so much joy and light to their lives, taking them on walks at the local parks every day, keeping them company on car rides, and making even the most mundane errands a good time. He was always there to give the best cuddles and wiggles and an enormous amount of unconditional love. Matt and Alayna are truly lost without him. But Jake would’ve never wanted them to be so sad, he always wanted the people around him to be happy, he always wanted to bring love and joy. And he did, so very much. He offered an irresistible smile and heartwarming tail wags to everyone he met, asking nothing at all in return (though head scratches or butt pets would never be turned down).
Jake was also kind enough to model for a Magic: the Gathering card, “Animal Sanctuary,” which Alayna painted. In honor of Jake's generous spirit, all proceeds (including shipping costs) from print and playmat sales of “Animal Sanctuary” from Alayna Danner’s store in January will be donated to three animal charities that were near and dear to Jake’s heart: Regional Animal Services of King County (King County Animal Shelter), McMonigle Veterinary Hospital's Furry Friends Fund, and Friends of Animals.
If you have previously purchased a print or playmat, fear not. Alayna is retroactively totaling those sales and will be donating that amount too!
